Ebony has never been a stranger to the stage community; she ventured into the world of performing arts at a young age and always dreamed of owning her own dance studio. She fulfilled one of her lifelong dreams, becoming the Artistic Director of her very own dance company, Ebony Arrington Dance & Performance, Inc.; a dance company in Birmingham, Alabama, boasting 3 locations with a roster that has propelled from 17 to 400+ students since 1999. Ebony credits her inspiration, to pursue both professions in radio and dance, to her grandmother, Flora McGhee, founder of Birmingham’s first black-owned modeling school.
Since the inception of the dance company, it has become a notable powerhouse in the Performing Arts Community, not only in the city of Birmingham, but also throughout the Southeastern United States. The Ebony Arrington Dance & Performance studio offers comprehensive classes, aimed at enriching the lives of its students, while enhancing the Performing Arts in its community.
